About Paul Curtis
On The Water Training specialises in Recreational Marine Driver Licence (RMDL) and Personal Watercraft (PWC) licence courses, with a strong focus on practical skills, safety, confidence and real-world boating knowledge. Private one-on-one and small group training sessions are also available for clients who already hold a licence but are seeking personalised instruction and hands-on experience on the water. The team at On The Water Training is committed to delivering professional, supportive and industry-compliant training that assists students to become safe and capable boat and personal watercraft (jetski) operators. The extensive training experience of each team member enables us to cater for a broad range of clients and help find the right fit for your training journey. With extensive maritime, training, rescue, and assessment experience, Paul Curtis is the operator of On The Water Training, delivering professional recreational marine and personal watercraft training across South East Queensland.
Paul holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a range of nationally recognised maritime qualifications including AMSA Master 24, MED 2, and Coxswain Grade 1. He is also an accredited AMSA AMPA Assessor, Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) BoatSafe Training Organisation (BTO) and BoatSafe Training Provider (BTP).
In addition to maritime training, Paul serves as a Senior Coxswain with Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ) and is an accredited WHSQ High Risk Work Licence Assessor, bringing extensive operational and assessment experience from both marine and high-risk industries.
